Accordion SauPVC is un-plasticized polyvinyl chloride – un-plasticized effectively means rigid and strong double glazing frames. It is the most cost-efficient option amongst double glazing materials. Traditional wooden frames are up to three times more expensive and are less energy efficient. uPVC double glazed windows are available in a variety of colours and finishes (including wood effect), although white is by far the most popular. uPVC is both durable and recyclable requiring virtually no maintenance other than a wipe with a soft cloth and, at most, a little washing-up liquid.mple Description
For a three-bedroom semi-detached house replacing all of the existing windows (single-glazed) and installing Bahama's A-rated double glazing you could save between £90 and £120 a year on your heating bill. As the double glazing will last for at least 20 years that's a total of around £2,100.
Yes we can do this although we always advise to have your job fitted by a Certass or Fensa registered company. If you prefer not to do this then it would be advisable to contact your local council as you may be required to inform them of your proposed work, dependant on the type of installation.
We offer fully accredited British Fenestration Ratings Council (BFRC) certified A, B and C rated windows in both our Legend profile systems. Look out for the Window Energy Rating Label (WER Label) on our frames, this is similar to the one you may have seen on your fridge or washing machine. A-rated windows are the most efficient and are the best way of improving the energy efficiency of your home.
We can accept all types of major debit and credit cards, there is an additional 2% charge for credit cards or you can pay by cheque / bank transfer or cash.>
Planning permission is not normally required for repairing, fitting or replacing doors and windows, unless you own a listed building. The answer depends to a large extent on what you are trying to achieve. If you just want to buy the absolute best available thermally insulated windows, then it can be worth the extra cost. However, the additional insulation achieved is small in measurable insulation heat-loss units. (This can sometimes be shown by some unscrupulous companies as a percentage figure to make it look more attractive!)
